Advertising should never be confused with independent editorial content.
This policy explains how advertising, sponsorships and affiliate relationships should be separated from editorial decisions and presented clearly to readers.
Last updated: September 16, 2026
Editorial independence
Advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners should not dictate the conclusions of independently produced health articles.
Clear labels
Paid placements, sponsored content and other commercial relationships should be labelled in a way that an ordinary reader can understand before engaging with them.
Ad placement
Advertising should remain visually distinguishable from navigation and editorial content. We do not intentionally design ads to look like download buttons, menus or editorial recommendations.
Google and ad networks
The site may use Google AdSense or other advertising services. Those services may apply their own technologies and policies, subject to user consent and regional privacy requirements.
Affiliate links
Some links may generate a commission if a purchase is made. When affiliate relationships are used, they should be disclosed and should not change the evidence standard applied to health claims.
Health-related advertising
We aim to avoid advertising relationships that would require us to make unsafe, deceptive or unsupported health claims. Ad appearance does not equal medical endorsement.
Sponsored content
Sponsored editorial-style material, if accepted, should be clearly marked and should still comply with our standards for factual accuracy, safety and transparency.
Google AdSense approval is never guaranteed by the existence of this page; the entire site must continue to comply with Google policies and provide valuable original content.
